The data is used by both government and private users.<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN><SPAN>This data set includes the thousands of survey markers placed around the entire county by the Baltimore County Land Survey Section. They are used by the county surveyors as well as private surveyors working within the county. The data set includes the horizontal markers from both the Baltimore County Metropolitan District (BCMD) coordinate system and North American Datum of 1983 (NAD 83). The data set includes the vertical markers from both the Baltimore County Datum (BCD) elevation system and North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88). The data set also includes a lot of metadata about each marker.
